If Microsoft creates a service, Sony has to also. It is rumoured that Sony is working on Google T.V., which is supposed to be put on the PS3 and will be integrated with Youtube and Google. It looks like Microsoft is getting ahead first by making their IPTV for Xbox 360 before Sony will supposedly release Google T.V. It is said that Google T.V will come to the PS3 in spring of 2011.
Sony already has relationships with Google which was clearly made apparent with the release of other Google T.Vs and Blu-ray boxes. Hopefully, when Google T.V. does come to the PS3, it will bring some apps along with it. These apps (besides Youtube and Google) would be Last.FM, Facebook, Twitter, and a few more.
That’s pretty much it about the Google T.V. for now. More details should be coming around soon, hopefully. I do hope its a big success, so Sony could make some more money. If it is not, it won’t be good news for Sony.
