So I was just reading an article on Ars Technica about the new Android 2.2 (Froyo) os coming out for Google powered devices and I am stoked!! An already killer platform and they are making it run FASTER and handle MORE?!?!? AWESOME!! So basically what they are doing for the new version of Android is employing JIT, or just in time, compilation engine that will allow the OS to translate the app into native code when its needed. They are expecting a 5X increase in execution of applications.
